Dr. Dnyandeo Chopade Founder & Director
With more than 26 years of experience as a leading medical geneticist in India, Dr. Chopade has been spearheading a mission to raise awareness and provide better genetic healthcare to every strata of our society.
After obtaining his MBBS and MS (Human Anatomy) degrees from GMC Nagpur, he specialized in medical genetics from Adelaide University in Australia and from St. John’s Medical College in Bangalore. He then went on to obtain a PhD in Medical Genetics from the Maharashtra University of Health Sciences.
Dr. Chopade has been leading the Down’s Syndrome Care Association of India, a charity dedicated to supporting over 300 families affected with Down’s Syndrome. He is also a distinguished teacher in the field of medical genetics and embryology, having mentored thousands of medical students and professionals since 1992.
For his social and medical contributions to genetic healthcare development in the region of Maharashtra, Dr. Chopade has been bestowed with several honors and awards. He continues to lead us at GHRC while bringing joy and happiness to every patient whose life he touches.
Mr. Sandesh Chopade Director
As our young in-house scientist, Sandesh joined our team with a keen intention – to help further genetic healthcare research for the benefit of people afflicted with such disorders.
He holds a B.Tech (Bioengineering) from IIT Kanpur and a M.Sc (Genetics of Human Diseases) from University College London. He has been closely associated with academic research as part of the population genetics team at UCL, in his role as a bioinformatician.
Sandesh is keen on exploring the latest advances in genetic research and therapeutics from around the globe and introducing it in the Indian context.
